Working for Our Families in District 78.
After ten months knocking on doors from McCutchanville to Newburgh, one thing came up on almost every porch: the power bill. Sally Busby is a teacher, a neighbor, and your Democratic candidate for State House, running to bring District 78 a representative who actually listens.
What Sally Stands For
No confusing talking points. Sally Busby's campaign is built on three straightforward commitments to every family in District 78:
Lowering Your Utility Bills
CenterPoint Energy, a Texas company, raised rates on District 78 families, and the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor found the increase went beyond what was actually justified. When the legislature had the chance to rein that in, eleven separate consumer protection amendments to HB1002 came up for a vote. Our representative voted no on every single one. Sally will vote yes.
Fully Funded Local Schools
Sally taught middle school for fifteen years before she started training the next generation of teachers. She knows what a classroom needs to work, and what it looks like when the money isn't there. Indiana's voucher program just expanded again, with income caps removed and more than $190 million in new costs projected over the next two years, on top of what the state already spends. Sally believes every one of those dollars should follow a kid into a classroom that has to take them.
A Representative Who Answers to You
Sally isn't taking corporate PAC money. She's running on donations from neighbors and supporters who want to see District 78 represented differently. Take a look at who funds her campaign, and who funds his.
