I'm Sally Busby—a teacher, a mom, and a passionate advocate for kids and families. I'm running for state representative because I believe every family in District 78 deserves to live with dignity, opportunity, and hope. Right now, too many of us are stuck in survival mode, juggling increasing costs, underfunded schools, and a lack of mental health support. It doesn’t have to be this way. Together, we can create a thriving, connected community rooted in abundance—not scarcity. I’ll bring transparency, compassion, and grit to the job. And I will work every day to ensure our community gets the support it deserves.

I met my husband, Joe, when we were both college freshmen. He earns his living as a chemical engineer. Our daughter, Ingrid, is in the ASM program through EVSC and attends Harrison High School, and our son, Jack, has severe special needs and is in a self-contained classroom at Bosse. Now that Jack has moved to his group home placement, Ingrid is excited about being the only child at home. Of course, the dogs, Oliver and Stanley, are still the rambunctious boys of the family!
